The Marca SL
This summer we’re releasing Marca SL, our new flagship and the first Oak bike designed from the ground up. It replaces our previous models with a single clear idea: one modern aero road bike that expresses our vision as purely as possible.
“Marca” speaks to that idea—Portuguese for "brand" and "mark" because of it being the ultimate representation of the Oak brand, as well as it being a mark in the brand's history—and the industry's history.. The geometry is our own, created after extensive market research, fitting experience, and rider feedback, with a slightly higher stack that lets more riders stay fast, low, and comfortable over real‑world distances.
Marca SL is built to compete alongside the world’s leading aero road bikes, without pretending to be something it’s not. We haven’t lived in a wind tunnel, but we have met industry testing standards, gained UCI approval, and gone all‑in on a single mold and design. No performance theatre, no inflated claims—just a fast, minimal, race‑ready platform for riders who care how a bike feels at speed.
Until the public release of the frame on July 11, 2026, we'll be posting updates on its development through this page.
First sample production
The first mold was successfully produced. Over the next few days this frame will go through stress testing protocol. If not changes are required of the mold/ lay up, a new sample will be produced, painted and shipped to us for rider testing in early June.
Meanwhile, the Marca handlebars are one step ahead, having passed the entire stress testing protocol!
Design approval
A 3D sample of the frame has been produced and approved by the team in the US. That gave the "go-ahead" to the team in China to produce the first mold and start the testing process.
With this physical sample of the frame we were able to test and design the first version of the paintjob that will be applied on the frameset sample we'll receive later this month.
Technical drawings
After another period of back-and-forth collaboration between US and China teams, the 3D files for the technical drawings were finished. Once this phase was finished and approved, the team in China was able to move on to the production of Oak's first ever frame mold.
First design sketches
Once the geometry chart was approved and before the engineers got started on the technical drawings, a first round of sketches, based on the US team's design.
Marca's geometry chart
Finalized in February of 2026, it was the first "real" step in the process of developing the Marca. After about a month of development and aligning the US team's vision and briefing with the China's team's knowledge and experience, a geometry chart that everyone was happy with was birthed.
